18. Have you ever won an award for your writing?

No and, to be perfectly honest, I don’t really expect to. Although I do put a lot of time and patience into my writing, that doesn’t make it award worthy. I’ve read stories of characters and scenes far better than my own that haven’t received any sort of recognition like that. Why would I expect mine to?

That doesn’t dwindle my love for the craft at all. Writing, to me, is close to the entire meaning of my life. Sharing stories worth sharing and passing them on from one person to another is, really, something I love, regardless of the form. Words are my passion. Even if I never receive recognition for it, I want to surround myself in this love and keep it with me until the day I die. And those that read and love my work are far more important to me than I could ever explain. They’re amazing people, each and every one.
